'Murder is always a mistake. One should never do anything that one cannot talk about after dinner' - Oscar Wilde
Nina Simon's Debut Mother- Daughter Murder Night talks about a Grandmother, Single Mom and Teenage girl who work as a team to solve a murder mystery. This book is a fusion is Mystery, family bond and humour. Lana Rubicon, an ambitious business women, affected by a deadly disease decides to stay with her daughter Beth. On one fine day, Jack, Beth's daughter stumbles upon a dead body near their house. Here the mystery begins..
I would rather day is a slow to medium paced book. Some chapters have in depth detailing and is dragging the plot a bit. If you are a person who prefers fast paced ones, then it might not be a choice. Other than that, there were fun and humour that gives an enjoyable experience.
Bunch if suspects and confusions keep the readers guessing till the end. If you a mystery fan like me, you would have figured out the culprit much before the climax. Jack's characterization is substancial. Overall, a decent murder mystery with family sentiments, suspenses and little humour.
